City of Willows, CA

The Willows City Council is composed of five Councilmembers elected to staggered four-year terms. There is an election in November of even numbered years. In the event a councilmember is unable to complete his or her term, the Council may appoint a member of the public to fulfill the term; however, that Council position is subject to a vote at the next general election.

The Council selects a Mayor and Vice-Mayor from among the Councilmembers to serve a one-year term. The mayor presides over City Council meetings and ceremonial matters, as well as represents the City in official city business. City Council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Regular Council meetings start at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 201 N. Lassen Street in Willows.

In addition to Regular and Special City Council meetings, Councilmembers are also appointed by their peers to several other public agency committees to represent the City of Willows.
